Setting Up Automatic Facebook Crossposting

To connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page, you need to have a professional Instagram account and be an admin of the Facebook page. If your Facebook page is part of a Meta Business Account in Business Manager, you'll also need to add the Instagram account to the same Meta Business Account before connecting them.

Note: If you don’t have a professional Instagram account, you can switch your personal account to a professional one.

Before you begin, make sure you have Facebook access to the page. This is necessary to manage linked accounts.

How to connect your Facebook page and Instagram account:

1. Log in to Facebook and click your profile photo at the top right
2. Click See all profiles and choose the Facebook page you want to manage
3. Click your page's profile picture at the top right
4. Select Settings & privacy, then choose Settings
5. Under Permissions, click Linked accounts
6. Next to Instagram, click View
7. Click Connect account and follow the steps to link the accounts

How to disconnect your Facebook page and Instagram account:

1. Log in to Facebook and click your profile photo at the top right
2. Click See all profiles and choose the Facebook page you want to manage
3. Click your page's profile picture at the top right
4. Select Settings & privacy, then choose Settings
5. Under Permissions, click Linked accounts
6. Next to Instagram, click View
7. Click Disconnect account and confirm by clicking Yes, disconnect

How to switch to a different Facebook page for crossposting:

If your Instagram account is connected to more than one Facebook page, follow these steps to choose where your Instagram stories will be crossposted:

1. Open the Instagram app on your phone
2. Tap your profile picture at the bottom right
3. Tap the menu icon
4. Go to Settings
5. Tap Account
6. Tap Linked Accounts
7. Tap Facebook
8. Select Share to your profile or page
9. Choose the Facebook page where you want to crosspost your Instagram stories

How to enabling automatic crossposting to a Facebook page:

1. Go to your Instagram profile and tap the menu icon at the top right
2. Tap Crossposting (for some accounts, you may need to tap Crosspost to Facebook Page)
3. In the crossposting settings, turn on the toggle for automatically crossposting content like stories, posts, or reels
4. Once crossposting is enabled, an admin can post from the Instagram creator or business account to the Facebook page from any device
5. You can update crossposting settings anytime in this menu
