Before reconnecting your Instagram account to Storrito, we strongly recommend taking a few minutes to: enable two-factor authentication (2FA), review trusted devices, and clean up old or unfamiliar logins.
This helps prevent login issues, repeated verification prompts, and failed story publishing.
Instagram now expects accounts to have 2FA enabled and recommends using an authenticator app, like Google or Apple Authenticator, in addition to your email and telephone number.
Enabling 2FA will log you out of your active sessions. This is normal and expected behaviour.
Make sure you:
Once enabled, log back into Instagram on the devices you actively use.
For more detailed instructions, take a look at our guide.
After setting up 2FA, stay in Accounts Center → Password and security and review the following sections:
Here - depending on your region - you may see options such as:
Some accounts may be able to toggle login requests on or off.
What to know:

Next, open Trusted devices.
This list should include only devices you actively use, such as:
You can check the exact name of your connecting device ID in Storrito via Instagram Accounts > account name > active connections
If you see any devices in this list that you no longer use, please remove them. This helps Instagram recognise your current setup as safe and reduces verification loops.
You can have up to 5 trusted devices at one time per Instagram account!

Now check Where you’re logged in.
Ideally:

Instagram no longer allows users to turn off alerts for unrecognised logins.
This means:
This is expected behaviour and not an error.

Before reconnecting your account, you should have:
✅ 2FA enabled (authenticator app preferred) ✅ Only current devices listed under Trusted devices ✅ Matching entries in Where you’re logged in ✅ No unfamiliar or out-of-date devices
Once this is in place, you can safely reconnect your Instagram account to Storrito.
When you log into Instagram on a new device, that device will be added to your trusted devices list after you successfully verify the login using one of your 2FA methods (e.g. authenticator app, WhatsApp, SMS). This will happen during the connection process.
