How To Schedule Pinterest Pins

You can connect your Pinterest boards to Storrito and schedule pins with a video or an image, from the same page and the same piece of media as your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, and Snapchat content.

Connect your Pinterest boards

Step 1: Go to Social Accounts in the left menu and click Connect for Pinterest. You can also click Connect account in the account list on the scheduling page and pick the Pinterest card.

Step 2: Log in to Pinterest and allow Storrito to post for you. Keep all permissions enabled, otherwise Storrito can't publish.

Step 3: Back in Storrito, choose the boards Storrito should post to. All of them are ticked by default, so untick the ones you don't need and click Connect.

Every board you pick becomes an account of its own in Storrito, named after your Pinterest profile and the board, for example Soul.globe · Summer ideas. Click Remove next to a board on the Social Accounts page to disconnect it from Storrito. To add a board later, connect Pinterest again and tick it.

If you rename a board on Pinterest, Storrito keeps posting to it and shows the new name after the next pin.

What Pinterest accepts

A pin from Storrito carries one video or one image:

  • Videos need to be at least 4 seconds long and can be up to 60 seconds long. Storrito cuts every video to one minute, so any video you post from Storrito fits.
  • The caption becomes the pin's description and can be up to 800 characters. A longer caption is shortened for Pinterest and ends with "…", while other platforms you post to at the same time still get the full text.
  • A video pin gets your media's preview image as its cover.

If your design is still being prepared when you open the scheduling page, you can still schedule it. Storrito posts it as soon as the video or image is ready.

Schedule a pin

Step 1: Get your media into Storrito — Upload on the Schedule page, or create it in the editor.

Step 2: Open the scheduling page. From the editor, click Share then Schedule story. From the Gallery, click your media and choose Social schedule.

Step 3: Under Social accounts, click Select social accounts... and tick one or more boards under Pinterest. Each board you tick gets its own pin.

Step 4: Fill in Caption / description. This becomes the pin's description. The same field feeds the captions and descriptions of the other platforms, so if you're posting to several platforms at once, you're writing one text for all of them.

Step 5: Check the Pinterest options:

  • Title — the pin's headline, up to 100 characters. It starts out as your media's name; change it to whatever you want people to see. If you empty the field, the media's name is used.
  • Destination link — optional. The page the pin leads to when someone taps it. It needs to start with https://.
  • AI-generated content — tick it if the image or video was generated or modified with AI. Pinterest then shows its AI label on the pin.

Step 6: Set Date & time and click the button below it. The field arrives prefilled with the current date and time, and the button reads Post now until you change it. Once you pick a different date it becomes Schedule to selected destination(s).

Tracking the pin

Scheduling activity shows each pin moving through Scheduled → In progress → Live, with the board it goes to. A Cancel link is available while the pin is still scheduled. Pins labeled as AI-generated carry an AI badge. On the Schedule page each pin appears as a Pinterest pin card, with Edit, Re-schedule, and Cancel on hover.

If a board shows as disconnected

Pinterest can revoke Storrito's access, for example after you change your password or remove Storrito from your Pinterest settings. Storrito notices this when a pin fails: the pin shows as Failed in the Scheduling activity with the note that the board is disconnected, and the board is marked Disconnected on the Social Accounts page. Click Reconnect next to it and log in again, then schedule the failed pin once more. A failed pin is not retried on its own.

If you delete a board on Pinterest, pins scheduled to it fail with the note that the board was not found. Remove the board from Storrito and schedule the pin to another one.

What it costs

Each pin that Storrito publishes costs $0.08, the same as a Facebook Reel or Story, a Threads post, a LinkedIn post, or a Snapchat Story or Spotlight. You are only charged for a pin that was published. See How Storrito Credits And Pricing Work for all rates.

Like everything else Storrito schedules, a pin only publishes if your credit balance is positive when it's due. See How Scheduling Works In Storrito for the rules that apply to every platform.
