How To Schedule YouTube Shorts

You can connect a YouTube channel to Storrito and schedule Shorts alongside your Instagram and TikTok content, from the same page and the same piece of media.

Connect your YouTube channel

Step 1: Go to YouTube Channels in the left menu and click Connect YouTube Channel. You can also reach this from the scheduling page itself, via Connect account → Connect YouTube at the bottom of the account list.

Step 2: Sign in with Google and grant access. You'll come back to the YouTube Channels page with your channel shown as Connected.

The Google account you sign in with must actually have a YouTube channel. If it doesn't, the connection fails with No YouTube channel was found for this Google account. Create the channel on YouTube first, then try again.

What YouTube accepts

Shorts need a video of at most 3 minutes. If your media is an image, or the video is longer than that, your channel shows greyed out in the account list with the reason written in amber underneath it.

Schedule a Short

Step 1: Get your video into Storrito — Upload on the Schedule page, or create it in the editor.

Step 2: Open the scheduling page. From the editor, click Share then Schedule story. From the Gallery, click your video and choose Social schedule.

Step 3: Under Social accounts, click Select social accounts... and tick your channel under the YouTube group.

Step 4: Fill in Caption / description. This becomes the description on the Short. The same field feeds Instagram Reel captions and TikTok descriptions, so if you're posting to several platforms at once, you're writing one text for all of them.

Step 5: Set the options in the YouTube options card:

• YouTube title — required, maximum 100 characters. It's prefilled with the media name, so change it to something you'd actually want on the video
• Visibility — Private is the default. You can also choose Unlisted or Public. If you schedule a Short and can't find it on your channel afterwards, check this first
• Made for kids — tick if the content is directed at children
• Altered or synthetic media — tick if the video was generated or meaningfully altered with AI

Step 6: Set Date & time and click the button below it. The field arrives prefilled with the current date and time, and the button reads Post now until you change it. Once you pick a different date it becomes Schedule to selected destination(s).

Tracking the upload

Scheduling activity shows the Short moving through Scheduled → In progress → Processing → Live. The Processing step is YouTube's own — it processes the upload before the Short becomes viewable, so a short gap between "In progress" and "Live" is normal.

A Cancel link is available while the Short is still scheduled. On the Schedule page it appears as a YouTube Short card, with Edit, Re-schedule, and Cancel on hover.
