Instagram Font Generator: 16 Unicode Styles That Survive The Paste

The Instagram font generator is a free Storrito tool that turns plain text into 16 Unicode font styles — bold, italic, script, fraktur, small caps, upside down and more. Type once, copy any style, paste into Instagram bios, captions or DMs. No signup, no upload, no fonts to install.

You can find it at storrito.com/tools/instagram-font.

What you can do with it

  • Type your text: a bio line, a caption or a username goes in the input at the top.
  • Pick a style: scroll 16 previews — bold, italic, script, fraktur, small caps, upside down and more.
  • Copy and paste: click Copy on the row you want and paste anywhere text goes — Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, X, anywhere.

How the styles work

Instagram only renders one typeface in the app, so the tool isn't really changing the font. Instead, it substitutes each letter with a look-alike Unicode character (from blocks like Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols). The result reads as styled text but is technically different code points, which is why it survives copy-paste into any app.

Things to know

  • iOS and Android compatibility: both ship the Unicode glyph tables this tool uses. Bold, italic, sans-serif and small caps are the safest bets. Some very old devices may render the rarer styles (medieval, double-struck) as boxes.
  • Hashtags: don't style hashtags. Instagram treats #hello and a styled version as different strings, so a styled hashtag won't appear in the normal hashtag feed.
  • Usernames: Instagram usernames only allow ASCII letters, numbers, dots and underscores — no Unicode. Use the styles in the display name or the bio instead.
  • Accessibility: screen readers spell each styled character by its full Unicode name, so don't use these styles for body copy. Save them for short headlines, section dividers, and decorative flair.

Where it fits

The tool is free and standalone. No Storrito account is required. You can pair it with the Instagram bio generator when building out a styled bio.
