Why the format works

A 'this or that' Story is a chain of forced binaries, and viewers reflexively answer them. Each pair is a tiny decision the brain makes before it can scroll past, which keeps eyes on the Story. Followers reshare by screenshotting the card, marking their picks, and posting it back to their own Story with a tag — that reshare loop is what makes the format spread.
