What are Instagram collections?

If you want to save pictures or videos from Instagram, you don't have to take a screenshot. This is what Instagram collections are for. Every account, whether private or public, can create and organize its own Instagram collections.

To do this, click on the bookmark icon at the bottom right of a picture or video. This bookmark is then added to your profile. However, if the user deletes the picture or video, your bookmark is automatically deleted as well.

By the way, the users will not be informed that you have bookmarked their picture or video.

Create Instagram collections

There are two different ways to organize individual bookmarks and keep track of them.

Create a collection via bookmarks

When you save a user's photo or video, you can press and hold the bookmark icon instead of just tapping it. Then tap "+", enter a name for your collection, and finally tap "Done."

Create a collection directly on your profile

You can also create your collections directly on your profile. Go to your profile and click on the menu in the upper right corner. Click on "Saved" to see all your bookmarks. Select "+" to create a new Instagram collection. Again, enter your caption and select "Next." You can then select all the photos and videos you want to add to this collection. Finally, select "Done."

From now on, as soon as you find photos or videos that you like, you can save them to your Instagram collections. To do so, press and hold the bookmark icon of the photo or video and select the collection you want to save the image or video to.

Delete bookmarks

Individual photos and videos can also be deleted from the collections. To do this, go to your collections on your profile and click on the picture or video that you would like to delete.

Here the bookmark symbol is highlighted in black. To remove it, tap the icon again so that it is no longer black. When you go back to your collections, the photo or video will be gone.
